(Maryann) ...We were very pleasantly surprised by this very nice Gasthaus in a small village next to the Rhine. It has a Biergarten, and dining outside if the weather is nice. Their restaurant had great food, and was packed every night, so you might want to make reservations. It is so handy to zip into Alsace and lower Germany. Would definitely stay there again, plus the price was right at 57 Euro a night (2009), with breakfast, for the two of us. It is just across from a train stop (no station), so would be very easy for those using trains. There is also a bus stop at the corner.
