Greg and Erika live in California, close to the ocean on the Central Coast. Greg is a retired Air Force Missileman with three tours in Germany (12 years). Erika is retired from ITT and a native German from Königsbrunn bei Augsburg. They were married in Furstenfeldbruck, near Munich in 1952. During their last tour they lived on a Bauernhof in Horbruch near Hahn Air Base in the Hunsruck mountains and became part of the family. Gunner and Erika are annual visitors to Germany, mostly Bavaria, but have extensively toured other parts of Europe. Their favorite location is Garmisch where they first visited in 1950 and have returned many times since. Gunner's grandparents were from Hamburg, but his adopted roots are in Bavaria. Erika still has family in Königsbrunn where they spend some time every year. They have a retired AF officer son and a doctor daughter (also a veteran). Gunner's birthday is 20 September so they celebrated by attending the 'Great Gathering' in Urach...

Enjoys Bowling, Exercise (have let discretion be the better part of valor from doing Aikido (Black Belt) and all other sports with a ball or a racquet. Lakers fan since George Mikan when they were the Minneapolis Lakers.
