(Excerpts from Val's 2000 trip report) ...Ed and I decided to splurge a little while in Heidelberg and booked Die Hirschgasse Hotel on the other side of the Neckar. It is located in a quiet neighborhood and within a 5-10 minute walk along the Neckar to the Alte Brucke. This hotel was a real find!
