(Joan) ...The Gästehaus is on the side of the mountain, which I managed to fall down while trying to get a good picture of the place. My room was small with a private bath, but was sufficient for my needs. It had a wonderful balcony with a breathtaking view of the Watzmann Mountains and Eagle's Nest at the top. I had just reserved a room without meals (other than the normal breakfast). When I arrived, I could smell the aroma of a wonderful meal being prepared and I learned you could eat at the Gästehaus for a nominal charge. I opted to do that on two nights. The meal included soup, salad, main course and desert. The hostess was a marvelous cook and the food was to die for. I would not hesitate to stay there again and include the dinner in my stay. The Gästehaus is only a few kilometers outside of B'gaden and is a easy drive to any and everything you want to do in the area.
