Lana is of German descent and along with husband Gary (also with German blood) has completed her third visit to Germany with five other family members in tow (Octogenarian In-laws and 3 children). After some internet research and a few tips from the AOL travel board she was able to show her German mother-in-law Alma (who returns yearly) some places she had never seen before. (Way to go Lana!) Alma in turn was able to show her grandchildren their heritage - to include the thatch roof farmhouse (just outside Hamburg) that she was raised in - which is still standing and occupied. (Aaahhh the German bauernhöfe!) Born in Indiana - she still calls Arizona her home as she was raised there and most of her side of the family still live there - so when she isn't flying to Germany she is making a summer jaunt out West. Lana has spent most of her adult life handling money. When she isn't spending it :) - she is a bank branch manager in southern Florida where she has lived since '78.
