(Drsmom) ...We did find a little gem in Berchtesgaden ..barely!! The TI was doubtful that we could find anything ..but after several phone calls, she found two rooms at "Haus Heidi", which is listed in the new TI book ...it is only a 5 min walk to the main area of the village. High above the main street where the Hotel Wittelsbach is located ...very clean, small rooms, with a nice balcony, great breakfast for 43 Euro for two!!! Frau Schönau brought wrappers into the breakfast room, and in her limited, but cute English, insisted we use the remaining meat and cheese to make sandwiches to take with us. NO ONE has ever done that for us before!!
