...Our next stop for 2 nights is Cochem... we stay at the Haus Schönblick, $55 a night.. booked for us thru the Tourist office. We are amazed when we drive up.. it looks like a small castle... the owner has limited English, but her smile says it all.. after breakfast one morning I complimented her on her home, she said it was the family home where she had grown up.. she has large rooms and baths, even has some rooms on the ground floor.. We had a problem finding the Schönblick until we stopped at a gas station for directions.. the man gave my husband a town map with directions marked, and we drove right to it... it sits on a hill just across from Cochem Castle.. in fact if you look out the window of the Cochem Castle, you almost think you can touch our "home"... if you stop in Cochem... see the Castle.. we had an interesting tour and the view is magnificent..!
