Hotel Alpenstuben is in a great location with beautiful views of Neuschwanstein. They have parking on premises and are just a short walk to the ticket office and shuttle bus to the castles. Our room was not very big; there was just enough room walk around the bed, but being the corner room, we had 2 balconies with views to the castle. The only downside to the room was that there weren’t any curtains on the windows, only sheers. The street lights shone into the room all night, so by the second night we were hanging everything we could over the windows to block out the light! The hotel has a nice restaurant as well as an outdoor café with grilled sausages, snacks and beverages.
