...I chose the Hotel Pfaff because Whitney had requested staying in town "where all the action is" and also wanted a balcony so she could sit and watch all the people. Of course because of the weather we had limited use of the balcony, but we did have a few hours when we first arrived to enjoy it completely before the cold front came.

Our room met all our needs and I would definitely stay there again. The room was clean, adequate size, comfy bed, clothes closet, telephone with writing desk, SAT-TV and a small fold down table where we played cards and checkers in the evening while I enjoyed a cold Pils.

It was fun to watch people scurrying about to and from the waterfall and the shops across the street. There is also free parking at the lot across the street from the hotel, which is quite convenient.

The funny part was Whitney's reaction when we entered our room for the first time --- hot pink sheets!!!! White comforters with pink stars!! A pink TV!! She loved it!

She shouted out "YES! Shag-O-Delic Austin Powers Room!!!"

The breakfast room was a warm, inviting place that was neat, clean and beautifully decorated. There is also a large room for guests with toys for kids, books, board games and a TV.

The food was extremely good and presented well, so we ended up eating there several times. We had the best meal ever on our last night -- Whitney had breaded, baked trout with shrimp and I had sliced veal in a cream sauce that was superb!
