Dick and Judy (wife of 43 years) fell in love with Germany, and Europe, while Dick was in the Army, stationed in Kaiserslautern in the early 60's. Their first wanderings in southern Germany and Switzerland were in those years, when they had the time, but not the money! Their best loved trip was when they headed south for a week, pulling into the woods at night, cooking on a little barbecue and sleeping in the car. They awoke to cow bells tinkling in the fields and the sun streaming through the trees. Dick and Judy traveled to Europe on eleven separate occasions. On one of their last visits, they spent a few days in the Black Forest and paused in Urach, at the zum Sternen. Dick passed away 16 August 2003 at his home in Brandon, Florida. He will be dearly missed...
