(Kypar) ...Hotel Johanniterbad is an excellent old world hotel that has also kept up with all the amenities that you would find in a modern hotel. The staff is extremely friendly, and be sure to ask the owner, who often runs the desk, about purchasing a favorite town car sticker. It's a yellow sticker with a Rottweiler's head on it and the words "Ich bin Rottweiler." The hotel can be be found a block off of the main street right alongside a river, and it's location provides an easy walking distance to the heart of town just a couple of blocks away. Parking is available in front of the hotel. I've been told the hotel itself is actually built on top off an old Roman wall. The rooms are very large and very comfortable. The restaurant has a very traditional "Black Forest" look being built of pine wood with the traditional German woodcrafting, and is also host to one of the best German breakfasts I've ever had. Rottweil is full of old buildings and history since it was hardly touched during the war; it's my favorite village in the Black Forest.
