(BrentCzU2) ... We prefer staying in the Berchtesgaden area, as opposed to Salzburg. My wife and I usually stay at Hotel-Pension Larchenhof in Schönau am Königssee. Sigi and his wife are excellent hosts. They are well traveled and speak good English. Their place is typical Bavarian, very beautiful and clean. Room prices very reasonable. You are only about 30 minutes from Salzburg.
