Rolfoe

Rolf and his wife Lovye met in Frankfurt/Main in 1953 as students and he followed her to Berkeley, CA in 1955. (The beautiful lady in the above picture with Rolf is his English daughter-in-law).  Rolf retired as a chemist and consultant from the pharmaceutical industry in 1998 spending most of his time now on one of his bicycles. He and his wife visit Germany and/or Europe at least once a year with his collapsible bicycle in a suitcase. Their preferred mode of travel is by car with only a vague itinerary, crashing with relatives and friends or staying in a B&B or Bauernhof. In 1999 Rolf spent a month biking in Germany and Austria while his wife took a course in Salzburg. Have a look at his trip report "Riding with Rolf". You drivers give those bikers plenty of room...and you pedestrians stay out of those bike paths. Ride on Rolf!
