Tooooobah

Jim and his flautist wife Bess are professional musicians (among other occupations). Jim plays tuba with the Vermont Philharmonic Orchestra and freelances throughout New England. He is a native Vermonter who has an avid interest in the German speaking areas of Europe and is most 'at home' in Oberbayern. I know of some places he loves in the Schwarzwald too... Jim's favorite activities include hiking and climbing (ask him about Mittenwald hiking) - beer and schnapps (and not just drinking beer). Jim is a real Biermeister who appreciates the making of a great beer. If you have a beer question - Jim is your man... I'll bet he can put some real 'oompah' into a party. :) We can all thank him for introducing us to the Gasthaus zum Sternen in Urach.  Jim and Bess were big hits at the Urach 2000 meeting. Jim led some of us on a hike and he and Bess joined the Urach orchestra for part of the evening's entertainment...
