(PStuyvsant) ...After two restful days in Reit im Winkl it was time to push on to the next destination. The small farming community of Piesenkam, just outside Holzkirchen. I had made reservations for four nights at a wonderful old farm - the "Waldhauserhof". This was to be a repeat visit as I had stayed here two years before. Located at the end of the S-3 line in Holzkirchen, it makes a perfect base camp for the Oktoberfest. Not to mention easy on the pocketbook.

I had a huge DZ (doubleroom) with TV and balcony. A fridge just outside the door, and shower/toilet right next door.

Piesenkam consists of only about a dozen farms and a church, so if you are looking for something off the beaten path you can't beat this place.
