Driving or training north along the Mosel - the next village after Cochem is Klotten (5 minutes). This is a nice small village with lots of inexpensive Zimmer Frei and Pensions.

Upon arrival at the Weinhaus Thomas we were greeted by the very nice woman who runs the Weinhous. Her English wasn’t much better than our German but that was OK because we were able to get by in our conversations with just a few words. This was a very clean, nicely kept place. Our room was just beautiful!

It almost felt like a honeymoon getaway with the rose petal printed bed spread and great view of the Mosel! What a sight! The entire place was great!

Downstairs in the morning they have a fabulous breakfast with lots of choices in meats, cheeses, and spreads for your bread rolls. The Pfeffer cheese spread was my favorite. Sehr gut!

In the evening we went downstairs to the Tanzkeller “Disco” where we were greeted as if we were part of the family. We enjoyed listening to all the German music hits as everyone sang along. I would definitely go back to this Weinhous. It has so much to offer for the price.
